Virginia Residents: Support the Community Cat Bill, HB 1586!

This action is ONLY for residents of Virginia.

Update:
On Monday, January 26, the House Agriculture Subcommittee voted down HB 1586, as amended, on a voice vote. Alley Cat Allies and other organizations had testified in favor of the bill, which would have made clear that is no obstacle to TNR programs under Virginia law. Alley Cat Allies thanks Delegate Kory for sponsoring HB 1586, and we will continue to work to expand TNR in Virginia, and across the country.

On Monday, the Virginia House of Delegates Agriculture Subcommittee will consider an amended version of HB 1586, which would clarify that there are no legal obstacles for volunteers to participate in TNR programs. This amended bill would provide peace of mind to caregivers and TNR programs across Virginia!
