Galveston Residents: Support TNR in Galveston

TX_GalvestonTNR.jpgWe apologize, but the action alert you are attempting to access is no longer active.

Update:

The Galveston City Council approved the proposed Trap-Neuter-Return ordinance. Unfortunately, the final ordinance contains language that is not entirely supportive of community cats. We will continue to monitor this ordinance, and let you know if more action is required.

Original:

This action is ONLY for residents of Galveston, Texas

The Galveston City Council is considering a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) ordinance that would protect cats and effectively address the community cat population. The council is already hearing from those who oppose TNR programs, so it’s essential that residents like you voice your support for TNR, the only humane and effective approach to community cats. This TNR ordinance will save cats’ lives in Galveston, unlike outdated catch and kill policies that are cruel and ineffective.  You can make a difference for the cats and your community.

Contact the city council and ask them to do what is best for the cats and the community.
