Sparks, Nevada Residents: Protect TNR and Community Cats

This action is ONLY for residents of Sparks, Nevada

NV_Sparks.jpgUpdate: Good news! The city council of Sparks, Nevada has voted against this ordinance that would have allowed the city to penalize community cat caregivers for proving shelter and food to cats outside. Thank you to everyone who took action and all those that made this victory possible!

Original:The Sparks City Council will be considering an ordinance that outlaws community cat colonies on private and public property. Sparks’ shelter has implemented TNR for years and saved many lives, but this decision would change all of that. If the ordinance passes, the dedicated volunteers and taxpayers who provide food, TNR and veterinary services to community cat colonies as well as the landowners who permit colonies on their property will face legal action.

Your input is crucial to prevent the outlaw of TNR and community cats. TNR is the only humane and effective approach to community cats.
