Virginia Residents: Tell Delegate Boysko to Oppose a Dangerous Bill

ActionCenter_VA_HB340.jpgThis action is ONLY for residents of Virginia’s House District 86.

Update - February 11, 2016: Good news! Delegate Boysko opposed HB 340, but unfortunately the House of Delegates passed the bill. It will now go before committee in the Senate. We will continue rallying Virginians who want to protect animals.

Original:

Delegate Jennifer Boysko is supporting and promoting HB 340, a dangerous bill that loosens requirements for shelters and puts cats in danger. HB 340 would roll back the progress made by the Promote Adoptions Bill, which guaranteed that private animal shelters are “operated for the purpose of finding permanent adoptive homes and facilitating other lifesaving outcomes for animals.” Delegate Jennifer Boysko is circulating a coalition letter asking her fellow Democrats to support HB 340 as well.

HB 340 has passed out of committee and will be heard by the full House of Delegates. We need you to act now—before this bill gets another step closer to becoming a law. Contact Delegate Boysko and tell her to oppose HB 340 and stop asking her fellow delegates to support it.
