February Edition
Thanks to the support of loyal donors like you, we’ve been very busy this month protecting cats around the country. Here are just a few of our current projects and successes:
Take the Pledge! Support Community Cat Caregivers
|
Recently, we told you the heartbreaking story of a 76-year-old man from Gainesville, Texas who was arrested and jailed for feeding cats. Imagine—being put in jail for the crime of compassion. No caregiver should ever have to look over their shoulder while feeding or caring for cats. The hard work of community cat caregivers should be celebrated. After 25 years of progress for community cats, there are still far too many communities with archaic policies that are cruel to cats and punish caregivers. Please sign the pledge saying you support community cat caregivers and compassion should never be a crime. |
Spring is in the Air—Time to Spay/Neuter
|
Spring is almost here, and you know what that means: kittens. But you can help keep kittens out of shelters by spaying and neutering cats now, before kitten season kicks into gear. You can prevent even more litters by having kittens spayed or neutered when they’re 2 months old, or when they weigh 2 pounds. Veterinarians agree that pediatric spay/neuter is a safer, faster procedure, and kittens rebound quickly. We’ve got the research to prove it! End the breeding cycle before it starts—spay and neuter now! |
