Alley Cat Allies Offers Cash Reward for Information Leading to Arrest in Yonkers Animal Cruelty Case

Dear Friend,

We are sorry to bring you such heartbreaking news. Yesterday, in Yonkers, NY, at least 25 cats were found dead in a wooded area by Public Works employees. Some of the cats were in garbage bags hanging from a tree. It is reported that the cats are in various stages of decomposition, but some of the cats had been killed as recently as three days ago. The news and photos of this discovery are shocking and deeply concerning.

Alley Cat Allies is determined to help find who did this—and ensure that they are punished to the fullest extent of the law. We are offering a $750 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people who killed these cats.

We need your help. If you have any information about this case, please call the police immediately.

This gruesome discovery tells us there is a threat to the community’s safety. Psychiatric and criminological research has established a relationship between cruelty to animals and a host of other violent behaviors toward people—animal cruelty must be taken seriously.

Please forward this to others in your area and ask them to contact police with any information that might be linked to this case. We will keep you updated as we learn more information.

Read our press release to learn more about the case.
