Meet Alley Cat Allies’ Bob and Steve and their Feline Friends

Alley Cat Allies’ Atlantic City Boardwalk Cats Project is a major success largely due to dedicated volunteers and Alley Cat Allies staff. Two new additions to the Alley Cat Allies team are Bob Draper, Field Representative for the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and Steve Garraty, our South New Jersey Field Representative. They do amazing work protecting cats through our Atlantic City Boardwalk Cats Project, at Bayside State Prison, and all around New Jersey. And of course, like many people dedicated to helping cats, they have personal cat experiences that motivate them. Meet Bob and Steve and the cats who inspire them to do what they do.

Adoptable Cat: Taro

Meet Taro, the adorable 5 month old tabby girl who’s ready to find a forever home! Taro had a rough start but she’s extremely sweet and trusting and loves to snuggle. She especially likes curling up in blankets—preferably with a stuffed animal—and napping. If her charming white paws don’t make you fall in love, her big, expressive eyes definitely will! Find out how you can adopt Taro today.

New Webinar: Cat Advocacy 201

Alley Cat Allies’ webinars are a great source of information about cats, cat advocacy, and what you can do to help in your community. To help you learn even more, we’re introducing a new Webinar on Thursday, August 27! “Cat Advocacy 201: Working with Elected Officials” builds on the skills taught in the “Cat Advocacy 101” webinar and is the next step in learning how to support policies and programs that benefit community cats. The webinar will help you prepare for city council presentations and effectively speak with elected officials to make the most out of meetings. The best way to advocate for cats is to get out there and talk with your local decisionmakers. Tune in for the Cat Advocacy 201 webinar and learn how you can make your voice heard and help cats in your community.
