Alley Cat Allies Delivers 55,000 Signatures to Smithsonian

Becky Robinson Delivers Petitions to the Smithsonian
The Smithsonian has heard loud and clear that you oppose its funding of flawed research that gets cats killed! On May 1, we delivered a petition signed by more than 55,000 of you to the Smithsonian Institution in protest of a controversial study that falsely incriminates cats for declining bird species populations. Alley Cat Allies president Becky Robinson delivered your signatures—along with an analysis by an independent researcher who found major flaws in the study—to Smithsonian Under Secretary for Science Eva Pell. Though there is more work to be done to stop biased attacks on cats and Trap-Neuter-Return, this was a great victory for everyone who stood up and took action!

Common Sense for Cats Website Launches

Common Sense for Cats
Alley Cat Allies just launched a new website, CommonSenseforCats.com. Through animated infographics, the site illustrates the why’s and how’s of TNR, explains the massive failure of catch and kill, and debunks the misinformation that plagues many media stories about outdoor cats. Humane treatment of outdoor cats isn't complicated, it's just common sense! The site is a valuable resource for helping others visualize how TNR works and can make their community a safe place for cats. Ask your friends, family, and community to stand up for cats and join the national movement for common sense policies for their care.

Help set the record straight and stop the killing of cats.
