Legislative and Advocacy Work for Cats and Kittens

The lives of cats like Leo are protected and improved when local laws reflect a community’s humane values. Alley Cat Allies advocates for these cat-friendly laws— including the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) ordinance and a Shelter-Neuter-Return (SNR) program adopted by Fort Bend County, Texas, where Leo lives. Now, Leo is not only neutered and vaccinated through a TNR program Alley Cat Allies furthered, he lives in a community where the law supports humane, nonlethal approaches to cats.
