Microchipping for Cats and Kittens
It’s about the size of a grain of rice and has the power to reunite a cat separated from their family. It’s a microchip, and it makes all the difference. At the Alley Cat Allies Recovery Center«️ in Marysville, California, we scanned each cat for a microchip the moment we rescued them from the devastation of the 2018 Camp Fire cats like Momma Cat. Sadly for cats who weren’t microchipped, reunion was far more difficult. That’s why if a cat came into the Recovery Center without a microchip, we microchipped them in-house. We also provided residents with free microchip vouchers. Because the more we microchip, the more likely cats can be reunited with their families in the event of a disaster.
